The vibrant spirit of Éki kéré

This is a heartfelt tribute to the rich cultural heritage of our people. From the grandeur of ceremonial occasions to the simple, rustic joys of returning from a day's work on the farm, this new collection embodies the dynamic energy and graceful movement that defines us.

Honoring tradition, embracing Joy !

USÓRÓ NDÓ RECAP

Over the past weeks, we invited you into the world of Ibóng — the kola nut, a material deeply rooted in ritual, hospitality, and cultural memory.

Through our Usóró Ndō narrative, we explored the kola nut not just as a symbol, but as a living material — transforming it into rich, earthy dyes that carry both history and intention.

From the dye pot to finished garments, each piece became a study of texture, tone, and story — revealing the quiet beauty of natural color and the subtle marks of process.

This installation and collection allowed us to reflect on how tradition can be reinterpreted through craft, creating garments that feel both grounded and contemporary.

Thank you for stepping into this journey with us — witnessing the process, the textures, and the meaning behind every shade.

The story continues.

"Our heart ethos lies in a commitment to reducing waste and minimizing its carbon footprint. Pioneering innovative recycling initiatives, repurposing fabric scraps and reclaimed materials to create stunning, one-of-a-kind designs that are as eco-friendly as they are stylish."

Why Raffia?

Éki Kéré draws inspiration from the rich masquerade culture of The Raffia City, reflecting in its designs an embrace of a myriad of masquerade traditions. Asymmetry and unconventionality, defines the brand’s style; through its innovative techniques and locally sourced materials like raffia. Éki Kéré's Creative Director, Abasiekeme Ukanireh, spearheaded the invention of the Raffia Vest. Handwoven by artisans in Ikot Ekpene (south of Nigeria) using traditional raffia weaving methods dating back centuries, the Raffia Vest epitomizes the brand's commitment to promoting culture, preserving craftsmanship, and respecting the ecosystem by creating clothing that naturally decomposes into manure at the end of its life cycle.
