Creative Assistant at Èkì Kéré

Èkì Kéré is looking for a Creative Assistant to support the Founder and creative team across collection development, garment production, styling, and creative projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with collection development, creative concepts, and design execution

• Draft, modify, and adjust garment patterns based on designs, measurements, and fittings

• Interpret sketches and references and translate them into workable garment specifications

• Assist with sample development, fittings, alterations, and garment finishing

• Work with tailors and production teams to ensure designs are accurately executed

• Research and assist with selecting fabrics, colours, trims, and finishes

• Support styling, photoshoots, collection preparation, and presentations

• Maintain organised records of patterns, samples, measurements, and design references

• Ensure creative and production tasks meet deadlines

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in fashion design, garment development, styling, or a related field

• Good knowledge of pattern drafting, garment construction, fabrics, fitting, and finishing

• Strong ability to interpret and execute fashion designs

• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills

• Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Fashion or pattern-making software skills are an advantage

• Strong appreciation for craftsmanship, design, and contemporary African fashion
